The Library houses a store of various books from the best authors in the world from the electronics sector. We also encourage students to use the digital library archives and supplement themselves with repositories and services of NPTEL and other similar allied services.

The Library houses a store of more than 23000 books, more than 300 International and National Journals from the best authors published in popular Journals covering various branches of Engineering & Technology, Management and Humanities. A New completely wooden furnished library is equipped with International and National Journals Section, Reference Section, Books section, Digital Library, e- Library, Online Journals reference section, Reading Room, Document Scanning Facility, Document Printing Facility, Automated book lending system, Reprographic facility, Dailies and weeklies section and with an amazing collection of nearly 23,000 books. An exclusive books section of Microsoft, Wiley and WP contains four copies of all the titles published till date by them.

We also encourage students to use the digital library archives and supplement themselves with repositories and services of NPTEL and other similar allied services.

We have unlimited user licensed access to IEEE, ASCE, ASME, Springerlink and McGraw-Hill Journals, and Proceedings.

Membership

Membership is open to all the staff and the students of BMCE.

Working hours

The working hours of the Library are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

Holidays

All government/College holidays will be applicable.

Browsing Centre and access to e-resources

The Library is connected to the 2 Mbps 1:1 leased line Internet service of the College Data Centre and has 30 systems for accessing the Internet - from 8.30 am - 05.00 pm.

Reprographics Facilities

One Canon Digital copier and Network printer facilities are available for members to print and copy the required materials, at a nominal cost.

Document Scanning

The college provides in house facility for document scanning this facility is available to all students.

Document Printing

Along with scanning facilities measures have been taken for document printing which taxes the students far lesser than their off campus counterparts.

Fully automated services

All operations and services of the library have been automated with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology using Windows based software, LibSoft. The software has excellent cartridges such as transaction, query, administration, reporting etc.

DIGITAL LIBRARY

The library further extends its arm into the virtual realm too. It makes a quantum leap by providing latest journals and technological knowhow are digitized to give the students a cutting edge over the others. The digital library boasts of a vast repository of online materials too. Online resources of books, journals, periodicals, news papers and manuscripts are available for reference.

International and National Journal papers are available in CD's and in our data repository for quick access. All final year students are strictly instructed to refer International and National Journal papers and proceedings as part of their Seminar, Mini project and Main project. We ensure that all e-resources are utilized our level maximum to achieve quality education. Our Information retrieval system is so systematic to achieve better results.BMCE, as an organization, that comprehensively collects, manages and preserves for the long depth of time rich digital content, and offers to its targeted user communities specialised functionality on that content, of defined quality and according to comprehensive codified policies, is very successful in maintaining and utilizing a good stack of resources in digital form from various Internationally reputed sources like IEEE, ACM, Springer link, Elsevier, Science Direct, McGraw-Hill, ASME and ASCE. Proceedings of the International conferences conducted by BMCE are also available for free access to the students and faculty members to widen their knowledge horizons and research potentials.

The web based program NPTEL is also made available to the students to get themselves acquainted with different syllabi and content. The NPTEL program is a joint venture of the Indian Institutes of Technology and The Indian Institute of Science.

Knimbus e-library platform

Our college library also facilitates Knimbus e-library platform. Knimbus curates and categorizes high quality content useful for students including 1000s of open access journals published by Elsevier, Sciencedirect, Taylor and Francis, e-books, videos, research theses and course documents. It provides access to more than 18,000 full text e-journals and more than 85,000 e-books. The Mobile eLibrary App mLibrary offers a multi-format; content delivery App for users to consume eBook collections, articles, eCourse materials, latest journal issues and multimedia learning content. Patrons can access the entire library on their smart phone from anywhere, at anytime. The Mobile eLibary App integrate the OPAC records so that patrons can check the availability of physical books. Knimbus Mobile App is available for both Android and iOS. A smart phone with internet connectivity is required to use the Mobile App.

DELNET

Our college library also facilitates DELNET database which has a network of about 6,300 libraries providing access to more than 79 lakh full text documents including e-books, e-articles and e-journals. It provides facilities for subscribing to various Indian and foreign periodicals in different disciplines. It also provides access to the ‘World ebook library’ with nearly 30 lakh e-books. It also provides access to more than three crore catalogue records of books, journals, articles, etc. with the facility to borrow books and get copies of journal articles.

National Digital Library

Our college library is registered member of National Digital Library, An initiative of MHRD, Govt. of India. NDL India is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for leading Indian languages. It is arranged to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and lifelong learners, all disciplines, all popular form of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is being developed to help students to prepare for entrance and competitive examination, to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources.
